One of my favorite two books I read in 2023. I listened to the audiobook. The narrator with his Irish or Scottish accent was perfect for the main character. Very imaginative and good tongue-in-cheek humor throughout.

I really enjoy when a nonfiction book is written with the same creativity of a novel that can sweep a reader away on a journey and The Wager does this. Gann does a great job not letting you know what is going to happen next. Good job keeping suspense ...more
